The January Sunday Social celebrates Epiphany. On Epiphany, we recall that the Christ Child, who had been somewhat hidden from society, becomes revealed to the Magi. There is a custom of serving King Cake on Epiphany, to see who discovers a hidden token of the Christ Child in his or her piece of cake. The members of the Choir are preparing a delicious array of cakes for your enjoyment. Come join us after the 10:00 AM Mass on Sunday, Jan. 7, and see if your piece of Epiphany cake holds the lucky token.
This will also be a celebration reception for the members of the Nocturnal Adoration Society who are celebrating 50 years of prayer here at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish. Please come to meet and greet the members (and some founding fathers) of the Nocturnal Adoration Society to help us mark this monumental achievement for the group.
